Indeed I have found that many symptoms and problematic interactions make sense when seen in context. I hope to work with you so can identify your sensitivities, manage your emotions more effectively which is needed to avoid conflict escalation, take verbal and non verbal aggression out of communication, support you in the face of power imbalances, foster better listening, closeness, as well as solving problems. In the case of trauma which is the theme of my doctorate I help you to find a way of restoring equilibrium, control and dignity.
While I continue with my face to face practice for people living locally I also specialize in online therapy whether this is individual therapy and/or couples counseling with couples living together or at a distance. As a therapist I want to take advantage of the technology and be there for you in moments when you might be wanting help and conveniently the session for example through your smart phone or tablet. Worldwide online therapy means working with is possible from every corner of the globe and is adapted to today´s world where people travel and move. It is also an excellent medium for expats and cross cultural relationships. My experience as a psychologist and social anthropologist also equips me to work with you on cultural difference. People who cannot leave their home such as the elderly people and physically disabled clients, have more independence and freedom to be able to seek therapy online and take charge of their mental and emotional needs.
